🍾 Sodastream Glass Carafe - Enhance Your Penguin or Crystal Machine Experience - Pack of 2 Review

I like chilling water in a glass, but you still need a plastic bottle to carbonate water. It's okay, but it would be nice to use glass. I make fizzy water out of plastic and immediately put the water in these glass bottles. If glass ran on my SodaStream machine I would give it 5 runs.

These are SodaStream's durable glass bottles. I always keep six of them full. You are perfect when I have company. They look more elegant than a spring water bottle and are more economical. I use filtered water and the taste is fresh. I highly recommend these eco-friendly bottles.

The carafe looks beautiful and is well made. I have 3 decanters that I always keep in the fridge. The downside is that I have to use a plastic soda carafe to make the soda, the glass carafe doesn't fit my machine. I need to pour soda from a plastic carafe into a glass carafe. This glass carafe holds less than the plastic carafe.

Great size but like some other reviewers the glass on the top can shatter without warning if not dropped etc. I think this is debilitating/poor quality or bad Material to save the company money. You can imagine my surprise as I took a sip from my glass as I headed out for a drink. I drink a lot of water so I carry them with me all day. I was lucky I wasn't seriously injured!

Mineral water and I have had a tumultuous relationship. I gave mine away as I was never happy with the low fizz and how quickly it flattened out. Because they're cheap imitation lemonade (not available in a 2-pack) but are more expensive and the glass literally jumps in your mouth. We had this issue with our last order and when I went to re-order I noticed that one bottle was cheaper than a two pack and had a slightly different description. So I read the reviews and called Soda Stream. Not only were they useless, they were dangerous, and I cut my lip when the glass broke. AMAZON MAY NOT DO THIS THEIR "CRITICAL CHOICE". I was thrilled when I found these as the original decanters had poorly designed lids that slide and then screw on. The plastic cracked and eventually the lids fell apart. A friend gave us her old screw cap carafe, which works great. New lids for old carafes are $32 for 2 pieces of crappy plastic! When I saw the 2 new $29 screw top decanters I naturally jumped on them. I have been using Penguin by Soda Stream for many years. Loved glass bottles but the old style cork never kept its fizz. I've seen them come up with a new bottle design, read previous reviews and I'm here to tell you they work really well! The water bubbles for 3 or more days. The previous design lost it in less than 24 hours. Keep in mind they only hold about a liter of water but I got a 2 pack here at Revain and that fixed the problem.
