Great cleaner for my ranch boots.

Interesting that I was asked to rate the fit as it is a cleaner. It works as it should and keeps my boots looking good. Much easier to apply with hot water and cleans well with a sponge. Doesn't leave a shine on boots, which is good if they're sitting in mud all day.

Don't let your skin dry out!

Every decent man (or woman) should have some saddle soap on hand! It is very important that the skin looks and feels good. I use this as the first step in cleaning my shoes. This helps condition the skin, leaving it supple and ready to be polished. It's also great for a new pair of shoes you're just breaking in. I've used it to condition some belts and it's done a great job.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not the best

Excellent material! for Tack Care

Great stuff! I really wish I had found it sooner. I use it to clean motorcycle boots and leather jackets. My jacket is white and black and before I found it I spent 30 minutes cleaning it to get it a little clean. Saddle soap keeps it looking new and takes a third of the time to clean. After I'm done and letting it dry, I apply mink oil for maintenance and also makes it easier to just wipe off the dirt.

Save the Boots: Step One.

First of all I want to admit that I didn't do a very good job on these boots. I didn't wipe hard, I didn't go back to the seats and I was very careless. However, when they say churn, they don't mean churn. If you apply soap to the fabric so that it looks even a little white, it will foam on the skin. So my photo shows the difference the soap makes with very little effort. While these boots were in the wringer, I think they're pretty cool so I wanted to keep them. Clean them first. For the…

Excellent stuff. just what i needed!

I was in a bind after a seagull successfully hit me right in the chest while I was wearing a leather jacket. I had no previous experience cleaning leather, but this taught me quickly. I will NOT take my jacket to a professional dry cleaner just to overpay to have the jacket cleaned. I tried partially removing the stain with warm water and hand soap. This seemed to help a little but didn't completely remove the stain. Then it got warm (luckily!) and there was less of a urgency to fix it. I…
