Ideal for small ITX applications. Beware of coil squeaking.

This power supply was intended for a simple, small assembly on the AMD AM1 platform. This power supply ticks all the boxes, and while there's no official 80+ certification, it seems efficient enough for all my practical uses. One of my big flaws is that the unit makes a weird high-pitched noise when it powers up, similar to what you hear when a graphics card experiences coil whine. It's very annoying at times, so I had to deduct a star for that. I found the number of ports to suit my needs. If…

Pros
  • Complete kit
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Not for 24/7 use. Best Internal PSU

I bought this unit for 24/7/365 use of low power servers. The power went out in less than a year. The power supply tester reports a 5VSB error. It was connected to a rack UPS and no other systems were reporting failures.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Only available in Black

I got it working for internal power supplies

I bought it to replace another small power supply. Apparently this one was smaller than the previous one and had the wrong form factor. That would be my fault. Using a small elbow, I installed it anyway. It's been working great since I installed it a few months ago.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Good mechanical fit but peripheral power cable too short

This PSU is the perfect mechanical replacement for my 150W Mini-ITX PSU. However, the 4-inch peripheral power cable is too short and doesn't reach the DVD drive when connected to the HD. You may need to purchase a 5 inch extension cord like I did. Also note that a 4-pin connector is attached to the 20-pin MB connector, giving the appearance of a 24-pin MB connector. It's actually two connectors, and the 4-pin is easily detached by unplugging it from the 20-pin.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Almost never

Arrived quickly, works great

Long wires give good flexibility in assembly. Just got in and works with git-go. Would buy again in the future. If you are upgrading an old case with a new computer inside, this is a good choice. Has been working under full load without failure since installation.

Pros
  • feels good
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

My system is performing well, but the noise is terrible

My system is performing well, but the noise is terrible. Mini-ITX is often used for HTPC systems, like in my case. And the noise is too loud when looking at something to leave it for this use case. The price was good, but it's better to pay more to get one that doesn't buzz all the time.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • There are deficiencies

Useful for a rack server

The reason I bought this power supply was because I build some custom rack servers. Machine specifications: MSI B85M-G432x 8 GB RAM Intel i5 44-601 x 1 TB WD blue 7.2 krpm 4 x 1 TB WD green 5.4 krpm These power supplies are good, relatively quiet and very small. The length of the cord is long enough to keep everything well spaced apart. To power up all the hard drives I used a SATA power splitter and haven't had any problems so far! http://amzn.com/B0086OGN9E

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Almost everything is there
