Really good lens! Star performer on my Sony A6000

Really good lens! Star performer on my Sony A6000! It's a little expensive new but no complaints because I bought it for a good price.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons

Excellent glass Zeiss APS-C

Excellent lens. This is basically my workhorse (universal). It goes very well with the a6300. Well made, beautiful Zeiss lens. Nice bokeh, fast and quiet autofocus. Savings were also estimated.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Empty

The sharpest lens I've ever used.

I recently switched from Canon to Sony and I have to say this is the sharpest lens I've ever used. Zeiss glass is definitely worth every dollar. Plus, the focal length is great for landscapes, indoor shots, and low-light shots. This is simply the perfect everyday lens.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Power outlet required

Everyday lens in lenses

I needed a fast lens that could capture a fast crawling baby and food for a blog/instagram/portfolio. While it's a bit pricey, its sharpness, range, quality, and fast aperture make it worth every penny spent. Also, its compactness goes well with my Sony a5100. I wear this combo every day.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • There are even more interesting possibilities.

Great lens! for SLR lenses

This lens is awesome! Since it came out, it has become my favorite lens. The price is a bit high even for the international version, but it's worth it! This corresponds to 35mm full frame. It's sharp, distortion-free, with little to no fringing and creamy bokeh. I highly recommend this lens. This lens works perfectly.

It's good, but is it a good price?

Can't tell if this lens is worth $1000 (retail). I find the price so high because it has no quality competition in the e-mount market. It produces significantly sharper images with better color contrast and color rendering than the kit lens. I am attaching a comparison photo of 16-50mm (left), this lens (right). Revain will probably compress the image so much that you won't notice much of a difference.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Some issues

Great lens if you can afford it.

Got this lens from Premium Japan and so far it seems like a great lens. Arrived with original Sony packaging including multilingual manual, front and rear lens caps, leather case and lens hood, all well packaged and arrived in advance. The lens itself works very well and is a nice improvement for low light photography. True, there is no stabilization, but I have an Alpha6500, so in the body. Pricey but so far I'm happy with it.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • small things

Hard to beat in this price range

Great lens. I would rate it 9.5 out of 10. Small and light. Color reproduction is accurate and appealing. Sharpness is excellent compared to any other lens in this price range, although certainly not at the level of a $4,000 Zeiss lens. Fits perfectly with a6500 or a6000 (gets 35mm on crop sensor). I've dropped it a few times and it's still level and seems solid. Also good for astrophotography and works surprisingly well for macro photography.
