Not the same as E lenses, slow and noisy aperture at narrow aperture, no autofocus in video except P and maximum aperture of F3.5 (transmitted mirror limitation)

Focus is not very fast but works as intended and gives me the ability to use all my old Minolta glass with my A6XXX. Nothing for everyday use, but practical when needed.

I've only used this with one lens so far and it's a Sigma. I like being able to adjust the focal length on the lens to suit my lens and camera. I would take these again.

This was the answer to my dilemma. I have a Sony A6000 and bought an A lens for the Sony G 70-400 series. I was looking for a lens adapter that would allow auto focus to work. I watched a million tutorials and decided to buy this one, it works great, I was very impressed.

A bit noisy and certainly not good for video but works fine. This model is specifically designed for APS-C sensors (a6000, NEX-5N, etc.) so it will vignette when using a full-frame camera (A7r, etc.). Focus unlike other A-mount adapters on the E-mount and I'm very happy with it - it struggles for focus from time to time but I think it may just be the lens installed. The adapter works fine. It adapts E-mount APS-C sensor cameras to A-mount lenses. For a full-frame E-mount, the LA-EA4 is better. This allows me to use Sony and Minolta A-mount autofocus lenses. So far all my lenses work as they should. This will NOT work with XI series lenses; as it doesn't deliver power for zooming or focusing.
