The adapter works fine. It adapts E-mount APS-C sensor cameras to A-mount lenses. For a full-frame E-mount, the LA-EA4 is better. This allows me to use Sony and Minolta A-mount autofocus lenses. So far all my lenses work as they should. This will NOT work with XI series lenses; as it doesn't deliver power for zooming or focusing. I appreciate being able to register settings on my A6000 for each lens to compensate for front or back focus. I have an A6000 and two kit lenses. Using this adapter with my A6000 was like buying a Sony A65 camera for only $200. The weight of my A6000 with the adapter attached is almost the same as the A65. I have all the benefits of the A6000 with the flexibility and cost savings of my current fleet of A-mount lenses; or with my E-mount lenses. It costs a fortune to reproduce my A-mount glass in E-mount. Because the adapter uses the Sony SLT system for autofocus, light is lost from the sensor. The A6000 handles compensation very well; Note, however, that there is no image stabilization whatsoever when using A-mount lenses.
