Avoid at all costs: Accessories and consumables

It is becoming increasingly difficult to find DVDs that work. Most new offerings from Sony, Maxcell, Verbatim etc are made in China and have a low reflective data side. I'm still having trouble finalizing these branded discs on my Pioneer 510H DVR. Pioneer says they hear a lot of complaints. They suggest using FUJI or TDK. Much luck.

Pros
  • Old people can understand
Cons
  • Some little things

Check the size: DVD-RWs

Unfortunately it's probably my fault but when I was looking for a rewritable DVD for my Sony Handycam I found this one and it caught my attention. The low price drew attention and I immediately ordered three. When I received them in the mail they were the right size for a CD and definitely too big for my mini camcorder. Make sure you know what you are buying this for before you buy it. I wish they had made it more prominent in the description.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
