Out of service only 3 months

I bought this thing about 3 months ago and have used it 5 times. Just stopped working. New batteries but unusable - won't turn on.

Pros

Cons
  • Repair

I accidentally ordered the wrong item from Revain. The return process was easy and within days of returning the item I received a full refund on my credit card. Thanks Revin I have since ordered the correct item and will check it out soon.

Pros

Cons
  • Good but not great

Very good supplier experience. When I carry the recorder in my shirt pocket and dictate into the recorder, the Dragon software hears my breathing and decodes a page consisting mostly of "he he he he he".

Pros
  • Decent performance

  • Not bad, but...

Easy to download and use

The software was easy to download to my computer (windows 7) and transfer to iTunes and then to my iPod. I had to play around with the recorder a bit, but it was easy to use. Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Reliability

Not suitable for decoding anything, esp lectures

The recorder is excellent although it seems too light and thin. I only had it for a few days; time will really tell. However, Dragon NaturallySpeaking is a whole different story. It took me a while to go through the help topics to decipher them after following their steps for a new voice as there are NO docs/manuals/instructions on anything that comes with the software. Also, don't expect it to be efficient enough, at least initially, to provide accurate decryption. My voice accounts for about…

Does its job very well

I bought this little gem to jot down ideas and notes on the go. It was specially developed for this task and fulfills it perfectly. Being developed by Sony never hurts either. I've always admired Sony electronics. Features I find useful: 1) Pause and resume recording 2) Listen to recordings at a higher speed than the recording 3) I can connect an external mic with 3.5mm jack 4) 3.5mm audio out 5 ) Device Lock 6 ) You can use it as a 2GB flash drive if you like, or you can use part and leave the
