I've had this radio for over 20 years and it has better sensitivity and station reception than some of the newer radios advertised as 'long range' will. Radio. Good sound quality on AM and FM. Doesn't throw you out of the room, but is great for listening at a moderate volume. The analogue TV tuner is certainly outdated, but I didn't buy the radio tape recorder for it. Great little radio that works with some of the new "special" radios.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Makes you mad

This is an old model. tv bands.

This is an old model. The TV tapes are for the legacy analog channels 2 through 13, which is clearly marked on the dial. These channels are no longer located in the US. About 15 years ago I bought 2 ICF-860 receivers, which now work great as AM/FM radio, but no longer receive TV sound because they were not designed for the new digital TV signals.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Sad technique

Mono Portable Audio Video Solution

I bought this radio for less than $5 from Goodwill to use as a garage radio. It serves my purpose there. There is a headphone jack, but mono. That makes sense since the radio is also mono. It seems very sensitive to the AM/FM radio stations around me. This is a much better radio than the $40 Jensen CD-555 I use at work. However, the Jensen is both stereo and CD playback. So this solution works well in an environment like a garage where I listen to it while I'm working on things or cleaning up a
