I use it as a drive

Listen to other reviews. Sony's proprietary format hurts and kills me. I usually love Sony stuff and the hardware can be good, but the proprietary format conversion is too difficult for me. I switched to SanDisk which suits me.

gonna buy this now!

I have an NW-107 and it's 3-4 years old. It's simple, easy to use and the sound is great. The battery life is excellent. I go on vacation for 10 days to 2 weeks and I usually take two spare batteries with me, I usually use one in the box and part of the other. The reason I need a new one is because this summer while swimming in the pool I kind of got the MP3 wet, not much but enough to have an effect. The battery is empty even when switched off. My battery lasts 8 hours. Sad. I have a new MP3…

Scrap - Do Not Buy

I'm glad I didn't write a review immediately after receiving the gift as I would have wrongly given this product a good rating. I found the sound to be pretty good and was impressed with the number of songs and battery life. I got a Sony Psyc (blue) MP3 player for Christmas. I installed the software that evening, took advantage of the 5 free downloads and also put a couple of my own CDs on it. Everything went smoothly and I have used it several times and thought it was great! My problems…

Tough as nails but I had to upgrade.

Well I got this guy for my birthday and damn it worked fine. It still works but I returned it to the person who gave it to me so he could upgrade me to Creative Zen Micro 5GB. They didn't fill it up much, but they will fill it up ;-) Well, here's the kicker: - I dropped it on the sidewalk. Nothing has happened! Not a single scratch! He fell twice on the kitchen floor. It fell on a hard carpet. None of them caused any damage. . The sound quality is great, but if you want it to be great, press…

Good quality product at a reasonable price

First of all I have to say that I am a fan of Sony products. I've always liked their features and price. I have several items including a home stereo, two digital cameras, a camcorder and a Sony home computer. So when I decided to buy an MP3 player, I naturally turned to Sony. Read reviews and went shopping. I chose this one because I had 1GB in reserve. I was very concerned by the reviews stating that Sony's proprietary software is complex and very difficult to use. Well, maybe I'm biased…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Not the best
