Listen to other reviews. Sony's proprietary format hurts and kills me. I usually love Sony stuff and the hardware can be good, but the proprietary format conversion is too difficult for me. I switched to SanDisk which suits me.

I have an NW-107 and it's 3-4 years old. It's simple, easy to use and the sound is great. The battery life is excellent. Well I got this guy for my birthday and damn it worked fine. It still works but I returned it to the person who gave it to me so he could upgrade me to Creative Zen Micro 5GB.
