Good for an entry level center speaker but not great for SSCS5

Bought this to go with the SSCS5 which I love. The highs are reproduced well, but the mids and lows suffer from the smaller 4" woofers. They really should match the 5.25" SSCS5 woofers. I've watched Captain America: Civil War and found that everyone's voices of the male actors were muffled.- similar to the sound of cellphone speakers.I've done music listening tests and can tell the difference between the two fairly easily.better, but again it's hard to get high quality at this price point.

Great center speaker

Although I bought it at a much lower price than currently listed in the Christmas sale, I can definitely say that this center speaker is worth the money. I don't consider myself an audiophile, but I've been involved with surround sound and stereo systems since the early 1990's. I set the sound quality to pretty much any clip I've had, Jensen or Polk. The house we bought had an in wall surround sound system but the center channel wasn't working and I didn't feel like troubleshooting so I went to

very weak sound on speakers

Surprisingly weak bass. Barely enough bass at maximum volume. To make sure there weren't any line input problems, I hooked up my Jamo SW400E, which is also a 10-inch 100W unit, using the same input and layout. Jamo plays more bass at minimum volume than Sony SACS9 at maximum volume. No improvement from phase matching or cutoff. Also, the switch and dial markings on the Sony are almost impossible to read, being just slightly raised, tiny black on black. To make matters worse, the Sony has the…

Good clarity and dynamics, but not very natural sounding.

Bought on sale to match my sscs3 turrets. Before I bought this I used a Micca mb42x-c center channel. Out of the box, he sounded pretty awful compared to Mickey. Booming voices and overemphasized highs make the S sound uncomfortable. After calibrating the room and applying some EQ, the sound is much better. Compared to the micca, the voices are more intelligible at low volumes, but I feel the micca more closely matches the timbre of the real voices. The voices are rougher in the middle range…

No screw broken near the line in the subwoofer

Arrived broken, the subwoofer line does not work. Do not buy this product, it is a piece of plastic junk. My subwoofer, which I bought used, really works. In fact, I would say that this product is used. Looking at the bottom of the product it looks like it was put on a hard floor and scratched all over so it was out of the box the entire time like Revain just sold me a used product and claims it is new and good looking. Crap. Always check everything you get from Revain because some dark things…
