Sony VPL VW50 1080P Theater Projector Review

I have had this projector since it came out, about 8 years. I'm on the second bulb, preparing for the third. This is a beautiful projector. The picture quality is very, very good, the fan noise is very quiet, especially with the built-in baffle. My couch is right under the projector and you can't hear it working when there's noise in the room, even a quiet conversation, or the air conditioner is on. I got this projector as a replacement for the Sony Cineza VPL-10 (I think it was labeled as such) which was an excellent machine for the price but was seriously annoying - a noticeable haze effect on the Pan camera through a uniform field (e.g. the sky) ). Of course, I'm sitting close to the screen, so it probably didn't bother everyone. The picture quality of this projector is amazing.
