Before buying, I re-read the reviews of the owners of the Sony WH-1000MX4 headphones and decided to formulate everything that interested me very much as an inexperienced user who was going to purchase Bluetooth headphones for the first time. I am sure that what I will describe will be important and useful to many. And so the advantages: 1) Noise reduction is amazing (the level of noise reduction is controlled by the settings in the special "Headphones" application for the smartphone for all manufactured bluetooth headsets from Sony. This application is required for installation! It contains important headphone settings, without which the headphone functionality will not be complete! 2) Connecting 2 devices at the same time (work alternately). 3) Smartphone application "Headphones" to control the settings of Sony WH-1000MX4 headphones. 4) They look beautiful in the beige-gray version, in black. They have a soft-touch coating, good quality materials. 5) Ear pads - just super! You put on the headphones and you feel a very soft touch of the material, the surrounding sound immediately becomes much quieter even without the noise reduction mode: the material of the ear cushions is very soft, breathable and at the same time tightly fit the "relief" of the head. 6) The sound is excellent. I really liked it. When you watch a movie on TV, you hear so many third-party sounds that you can’t hear or pay attention to without headphones, while they don’t interfere with the speech of the actors. The voices of the actors turn out to be very clear, despite the fact that the TV has a very good external sound (Sumsung TV 7 series 4K 2022, then they were premium, these are now 4K TVs since 2022, Samsung has simplified in all positions, so premium processors, settings and the sound was transferred to 8K TVs, and even then not to all, but starting from series 8! Headphones can be connected to the TV via Bluetooth (all modern TVs have this function, look in the TV settings - sound output). 7) Comfortable, you forget that they are on your head. 8) Wired connection via 3.5 mm jack. 9) Bluetooth 5.0 10) LDAC codec.

But in comparison with the market for headphones of this quality, the price is probably adequate. 2) Adjusting the volume and switching tracks with a sensor on the right ear is not very convenient, it takes getting used to and skill. 3) Very short Type-C wire for recharging, literally 15 cm! (in general, you have to use another one). 4) The microphone in the headphones (for use as a headset) is very weak, the interlocutor does not hear well even if I am alone in the room in silence. This is a significant drawback for me, since the work is connected with constant communication with clients, answering incoming calls. Headphones are not suitable for use in this form. There is something to compare with, I use a Yabra headset, where the microphone reception quality is always good, the exception is outdoors in windy weather, when the wind blows into the microphone, in all other cases the connection is excellent.
