Best Fit Sorels

Although they cost more than some boots, Sorels are the best, and here in Minnesota, where we've had 6 months of snow and a week of freezing temperatures, we NEED good boots. I think they fit as expected. My child who hates clothes complains that he can't move his toes, but I don't know if that's really necessary with boots. I'm pretty sure it has enough room as far as I can tell from the thick rubber - rubber that will NEVER crack or leak no matter how brittle it gets in the cold. In any case,

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Available in White Only

Terrible quality

I have had a pair of Sorels for 12 years now and they have served me well. So I decided it made sense to buy a pair for my kid. Apparently, Sorel believes that when it comes to children, you can skimp on quality. First, a small branch made a hole in the trunk (normal game, walking around). I tried ironing the patch to keep the water from dripping (uncomfortable place so it didn't hold). Now, about a month later, the boot toe tightening loop is broken and the boot cannot be protected from snow…

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive

Very glad we ordered these Sorel Flurry K snowshoes!

This is how we make snowshoes at home. The boy gets 2 new pairs every year because he has outgrown last year's pairs so we clean last year's shoes and resell them. The proceeds from the resale are used to buy new shoes. We buy a pair that looks almost like tennis shoes - great for soft or snowy days when he's not playing outside and it's not too cold. The second pair is the more satisfying pair of the two - more waterproof and able to protect on colder days (we live in Minnesota) and in deeper…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
