VERSATILE COMPATIBILITY: The SWM15-PROS‘ multiple input / output connectors including HDMI ARC, 3.5mm and optical combo output enables it to be compatible with a variety of devices including smart TVs (HDMI ARC needed), home receivers, soundbars and etc. HDMI ARC FUNCTION: Please check the pictures for CEC/PCM setting guidance. Please help make sure to enable your TV’s CEC and choose PCM as audio format under expert setting on the TV. The HDMI ARC on the SWM15-PROS karaoke mixer allows you to extract the audio from the TV to the mixer. This allows the mixer to blend the music and vocal, and send the mixed signals to a soundbar or amplifier (HDMI cable is not included). AUX/OPTICAL COMBO: The Audio Out port can be served as either an AUX (3.5mm Jack) or Optical output (with the included AUX to Optical adapter). It supports a variety of sound bars like Bose 300/500/700, Samsung, Vizio, etc. EASY-TO-SETUP: With up to 16 selectable frequencies and independent volume controls, the karaoke mixer system supports up to 2 wireless mics or 2 wired mics (not included) and its operation range is up to 100 feet line-of-sight. Impossible karaoke: microphones

The quality is very poor, but don't wait for karaoke with a delay of 0.5-1 seconds if it doesn't really work. You will sound crazy in the system. Suggests all these reviews are "bought".

Help getting the sound out of the TV

When I try to connect this system optically to my old Bose surround system, everything works, at least the microphones sound. hdmi connected to hdmi arc on tv and hdmi output to soundtown. but there is no sound from the tv. I use YouTube for karaoke, can someone help me? I need tonight! How to contact manufacturer

Unique home karaoke solution

I searched YouTube for a home karaoke solution. This is ideal if you use an external speaker (soundbar) with your TV. Setup was very easy and it worked after changing a few settings on my Smart TV. It seems like each device wants to control the audio functions. The price was excellent for the benefit it offers. I used to use complex mixers along with a wireless microphone system. It takes care of everything.

Add an amazing karaoke system to your TV, receiver and streaming source

Video is very clear. The sound quality from the moderator and the microphones is very good. Pairs well with Chromecast or equivalent to turn your TV and home theater receiver into a karaoke system. Unless you need something portable, if you already have good speakers and a good TV, this is a much better choice than a standalone karaoke system. The volume control is great because you have three controls: source volume, TV or theater volume, and microphone volume.

I wanted to love this device, but.

Was looking for something with HDMI to simplify setup with my AVR. The music flowing through and the voice quality with the supplied wireless microphone were excellent. The issue we encountered was a 1/2 to 1 second delay in the voice. Anytime you used digital (HDMI/Toslink) there was a noticeable voice lag. Failed to get HDMI audio arc to work. When I used the analog audio out with a 3mm cable, the speech delay was gone. If the device had a way to compensate for the analog-to-digital voice…

Very satisfied! - Microphones and accessories

I love doing karaoke but for some reason I haven't done it in a long time. Wanted to get back to this, but it's so difficult to hook up my laptop to a stereo and TV with an old mixer. Thought HDMI would make things easier. Was concerned because I saw some reviews that the HDMI connection causes lag. bad sound quality - handheld wireless microphones

So bought and installed same day, very easy installation. Arc HDMI to the device and from the optical output of the device to my AV receiver. When I turned on the device there was no sound, checked the cables, everything was fine, tapped the volume button several times and the sound came on. The volume knob may have been deformed or soldered crookedly. A little fiddly and works well - for home use only

Background: I bought this unit to replace an analog mixer setup that I will be running with a laptop setup. I needed something that would work with a SMART TV with ARC to minimize the wire count. That was it. It took a bit of fiddling, but I'll share all my troubleshooting tips. ARC Connection Issues - ARC HDMI not communicating with SWM-15.
