The sound beam went down

The sound beam used to be up. When did they start building tiny amplifiers that only put out about 50% of their rated power? Harmonic distortion was terrible on this amp too. Pass this.

Pros
  • Amplifier
Cons
  • There is nothing here

Worked well for my application

Used to replace the factory subwoofer in my Honda. It was small and easy to connect. I don't quite understand why it has two ground wires. Minimal handling, but sufficient for size/performance/price.

Pros
  • Mono Amplifier
Cons
  • Good mostly, but...

False Advertisement - Automotive Electronics

By magic this amplifier will not operate at the advertised power. Still works great but you are actually looking at 130-140W RMS at 2 ohms max so ignore the marketing materials, even the specs printed on the bottom of the amp are misleading. Use it to curb your expectations.

Pros
  • Automotive Audio
Cons
  • Functionality

Great for the factory passive subwoofer

I installed this unit in a first generation Honda Ridgeline RTL and am using a factory passive subwoofer with it. Everything works great in this app. More than enough power, compact enough to be mounted behind the head unit/dash so I don't have to take the back seat off and very easy to install. If you have a car with a factory passive subwoofer and want to upgrade your head unit, this amp should be a good fit.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Great price

The perfect amp for my portable sub-project!

I needed a very compact and efficient amplifier for my portable subwoofer. The amp is small enough that I can attach it to the back of my Kicker 6.5 subwoofer with industrial grade Velcro and stay out of sight. The bass boost and crossover work well and it barely draws 10W when played at listening volume - more than enough to shake the panels in my room when the bass kicks in! The amp doesn't get hot at all and works well with the constant output of my 240 watt-hour (16.8 Ah, 14.4 V) Li-Ion…

Pros
  • Car and Electronics
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
