much better than expected for such a cheap kit

Much better than I expected from such a cheap kit. They came pre-sharpened and were very sharp right out of the box. I've been using it for about a week and have never sharpened it. They hold their edge really well.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Can't remember

nice looking chisels

Very nice hand feel but note the combat tip is NOT hardened steel. It's mild steel and when I used these chisels to knock out the accumulated ice around our Radon fan's exhaust, it badly damaged the end cap from just tapping it lightly with a short hammer.

Pros
  • Shock absorbing MOA grips with thumb pocket for sniper control
Cons
  • Something different

Edge does not hold well

Tools come sharp with nice handles and construction. Although the metal is suspicious. I used a 1/2" chisel to round the edges of the spikes after making them on the table saw. I've used them on cherry wood and after rounding off just a few tenons the edge is already showing signs of being sharpened very obvious burr or rolled edges on the flat side of the chisel They are sharp and work well, but need frequent sharpening.

Pros
  • High carbon steel blades for maximum edge retention
Cons
  • Available in black only

Arrived pretty sharp and ready to go!

installed). These are good chisels for this price range and will serve me well for this purpose. - They are quite durable and feel good in my hand. - Everyone's weight and balance suits me. "They came sharp and I haven't had to sharpen them yet, although I suspect will be soon. I like sharp chisels so I'm sure every user is different. The handles are plastic (I prefer wood) but I compromised to hopefully get better steel and a better overall product. They're tactile and easy to work with, so no

Pros
  • 4 piece set includes chisels 1", 3/4", 1/2" and 1/4"
Cons
  • piggy bank price
