Junk, Fragility: Covers

Bought on 1/17/17 and hasn't installed for several months. Motorhome is in the shade, the lenses discolour quickly and the plastic is now very brittle. So 1 1/2 years for 11 dollars, I won't buy any more!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Functionality

Perfect for replacing a 1984 Fleetwood Porch Light

Perfect for my 1984 Fleetwood Pace Arrow. The hole was about 4 1/2 inches wide and the product description said 6. I tried this based on another buyer's picture so I'm including my picture.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Great price

Made from the most fragile plastic available

Product worked and fit perfectly. Too bad they made it out of the thinnest cheap and brittle plastic imaginable. You can make your own out of duct tape and old eggshells and they will be 1000% more sustainable than this thing.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Almost never

Excellent Fit: RV Parts & Accessories

Having a vintage RV can make these items difficult to find, but I was delighted with the quality and the exact fit for my porch. Luckily I bought a few because exposure to the elements will cause them to become brittle and break over time.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Didn't last 6 months!

I wouldn't mind at all if I had to change this cover every 2 years like other reviewers do. Unfortunately mine didn't last 6 months! We left the lights on for a few hours each night and the heat from the lights accelerated the deterioration of the plastic. I'll buy another one (what choice do I have?) and swap out the bulb for an LED. I hope I get 2 years off the cover!

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • negative is present

The good and the bad: caravan and trailer covers

The second I have ordered from this manufacturer in the last two years. Came home last week to find the first one had a crack. I don't think there's any reason for that since we don't use a pen or light. So I guess it's just the type of plastic used. The second came and I tried to install it today. The bowl fits perfectly. But the tabs holding it are two widths. Either the shape used is wrong or there is additional material on the strips. I can shave the groins. But you might think that if you…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • So far so good

He does what he says, but not for as long. Repurchase within 4 years.

Looks like I bought this item in April 2017 to replace a broken and brittle lens cap on my New to Me 2005 Sea Breeze Class A 34ft 34ft Motorhome. Didn't know I had to buy a pair as I'm buying another a little over 4 years later due to sun damage as I never turn on this light to cause heat build up. I also included an LED lamp so it doesn't get hot at all. The case works but won't last forever so buy a few to have on hand. Also, I don't know what the 4x6 dimensions are talking about, the lens is

Pros
  • practical matter
Cons
  • The list will be long.
