I received this case in wild salmon and I am delighted! Lighter shades of pink/orange than in the photo but very pretty. Snaps into place easily. The plastic is smooth and the transparent design allows the Apple logo to show through. I've never dropped a laptop and don't plan on starting now, so I'm more worried about scratches from daily wear and tear. This is my second order of this item. I am very careful with my computer. The first case was bought a year ago and ripped shortly after purchase. I maintained it together with strong tape for several months and needed another cover when it finally stopped sticking together. I used to have a Speck case that lasted over 4 years. This one lasted less than 2 months but I wasn't able to return as I had a week before my return date. I am so disappointed. The sleeve chipped off in the corner for a couple of weeks and then it started cracking at the top and chipped off again at the back when I opened my laptop, so bad the sleeve couldn't be attached to my laptop so I can't use longer. My laptop is only used at home. I will not buy this product again!

I love these cases. They are discreet, thin, light and protect my MACBOOK. This is necessary to protect the finish of your new MAC. Snaps in and sits tight and secure. It's thick enough to offer protection from anything that might scratch the surface, but doesn't add to the weight. With this, I no longer have to worry about scratches on my new MACBOOK PR RETINA when I'm lying on the table. or carry it in my pocket.

Average case. It has the same problems as any other case of this design and manufacture. It won't take long and start cracking. I won't buy again but I can't say it didn't do the job. It protected the computer but only lasted a few months.

I bought this case to replace the bottom panel of the Speck satin case for my Macbook Air 11" which is more durable. It seems very durable, scratch resistant and (at least the one below) showed no signs of cracking (especially the clips) after two years of heavy (daily) travel use. Dust sometimes gets between the sleeve and the laptop but is easily removed and wiped clean.

I like this bag, it's nice and thin and seems to give extra protection from bumps due to its rigid structure. Of course, this case adds some bulk and weight to my Macbook. What I wasn't expecting is that with the case installed, my screen would open fully with an extra ounce or two. This is only a minor complaint as it only happens occasionally. The case looks pretty cool once all my greasy fingerprints are wiped away.
