Speck Products SmartShell Case for 15-Inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display - Mykonos Blue (SPK-A2570) Review

I don't know how much #value I like how the case fits my computer but I just noticed that the corner of the cover is torn though I still have it, now there's a plastic crust left! I am not very happy with this "#protection" of my investment as far as my Mac is concerned.

I've always used Speck cases on my MacBook Pro. I've used See-Thru Satin cases in the past, which I like because they're lightly rubberized and can be hand-held. securely with one hand and they won't slip out. I just got one of their smart shell cases and it's as slippery as deer intestines on a round doorknob. It is very slippery and difficult to keep from slipping out of my hands. Doesn't fit my 15" Mac Book Pro. Too big. I also bought something that I don't like. Had one for my 17" laptop before. If it fits and fits. I love it!

This is the second Speck case for our 15 inch MacBook. As in the first case, cracks appeared during the year of use. As a result, the first suitcase had to be thrown away, and the current one bought. We bought this eleven months ago and it also cracks and loosens parts! We are very careful with our MacBook as it stays on our computer desk or placed on a table in the kitchen area. He's not going anywhere else! the last bacon wrapper we will ever buy and will be looking for another product.

I've had the same case for five years and I love it! But it wore out and I naturally went for the same one as I really liked it. What a surprise! Less than a week later it started cracking at the corners from being overtightened. Obviously this one had nothing to do with my old one! I wonder where the production was moved to...no need to comment further...just look at the pictures I took a month after purchase. Thank you Revain for great customer service! I received a refund.

Great at first. A few problems arose over the days. The top shell slid back and forth, and the corners of the bottom cracked. The one I bought for a previous model is alive and well after 5 years of use. Not so happy with that. Mass production and less attention to detail? I'm reducing my rating to 3 stars.

I've brought countless Speck MacBook cases, MacBook Pro cases of all colors, 13' and 15' and they all have a VERY common problem; rear (lower) parts 99.9% cracked. I've brought 6 cases over the years ($49.99 each) and they've all been cracked. It wasn't until I started using Revain that I had no option to return and exchange it. Speck makes amazing cases. I've had several of these over the years. things like that happen when the edge breaks on one side. But they help your laptop take a beating without suffering damage. Hitting train seats and the like. It also personalizes my car a bit. Both of my kids use them for their laptops.
