Spectra 93004 HVAC Heater Core: Superior Heat Transfer and Reliability Review

Don't waste your money, buy OEM. Less than 3 years and 30,000 miles later, this heater core is leaking onto the floor of my truck and floating through the vents. It would have been worth the extra price for the OEM not to have to replace it again so quickly. Garbage.

Radiator fits perfectly on my 2000 F-250 Super Duty V10. The design is better than the original in my opinion. The foam insulation fitted around the core of the heater is a necessary addition as the old heater's foam was unusable. This is definitely the heart of a premium heater! Would buy again!

Appears to be well made, exactly to OEM specs and generates STRONG heat! I am very happy with it in my wife's 2000 Ford Excursion with the 6.8 liter engine. Installation was very easy given some of the more complex cars I've done in the past. Installation took about 1 hour and is pretty easy. We remove the glove box and the shaft. Here it is.

I have purchased several Spectra Premium products and have never been disappointed. When I compare parts from different manufacturers, if Spectra Premium offers it, I will buy it. They appear to be better engineered than most aftermarket parts in the sense that they fit as OEM parts and the material quality and finish appear to be just as good, and at a fraction of the price. After replacing the water pump on my 02' Ford F350 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel I also wanted to replace the heater core so they were both new. This was a very good heater core replacement, just like the OEM and comes with insulation on the sides, top and bottom at a fantastic price.
