To reduce stress on the headers and prevent warping during thermal expansion, stress cuts are made to the side rails. Increased tube wall thickness for durability and longevity. Manufactured with high quality material for extended durability. Subject to aging and endurance testing to validate performance under extreme weather conditions.

I would have bought one locally from Spectra due to poor packaging, received two with damaged fillers due to no gasket.

Poor packaging from the manufacturer! This radiator is very heavy and due to the lack of foam over the top filler neck I got two crushed ones and had to return them.

  • In order to reduce the stress on the collectors and to prevent warping due to thermal expansion, clamping notches are made in the side rails

Where is the quality control?

The intake and exhaust pipes are triangular rather than round and the overflow hole in the filler neck is in the wrong place. Would return it for a replacement/refund but need the car today. You have to massage for it to work. They just had to replace the original for roughly the same cost and downtime.

Disappointed with the quality assurance aspects perceived by the seller

The original radiator vent expansion pipe was installed incorrectly. It was rotated 180 degrees against the overflow tank. The second return cooler was damaged when received. The lower hose tube was completely bent in half. The third purchase is expected on February 12, 2020. The radiator has arrived in good condition. Looks as advertised! Third time - nice!

Poor fit and hose outlets at the wrong angle.

Please check if this radiator will pay for itself. I have a 1973 Corvette 454. This radiator is too big. Could this cooler be defective or just wrong? The hose outlets are at the wrong angle. The shroud prevents the lower hose from being installed. Core 1/2 inch too wide. I have 30 years of experience, this car is too good to overhaul. Thank you for sending the corrected version.
