🔥 Spectra Premium CU50 Complete Radiator: Optimal Cooling Solution for Efficient Engine Performance Review

I used this in a 1990 4Runner 3vze 4wd. It appears to be built to the same standards as current OEM coolers - plastic (composite) tanks and aluminum tubes. Mounting holes, inlet/outlet pipes, plugs, etc. are all OE style. It had a few stickers that said 'see. Installation instructions in the box" that seemed to magically disappear out of the box, but the installation was really easy.

As mentioned in another review I also had to file the tabs to allow the heatsink to hang low enough to line up with the screw holes. The drain plug is a bit annoying and difficult to operate compared to a stock drain. They also run a coolant tube under the radiator cap just above the sharp plastic edge of the top reservoir. High quality radiator for Toyota 3VZE engine. Comes with a few small aluminum creases but nothing that would affect performance. I was a bit skeptical about the plastic construction, but so far so good. In any case, less corrosion in the cooling system. Installation was easy as there was no fan installed. Bought to replace a dealer supplied spare which was delivered about two weeks into the end of the 12 month warranty. Almost a year without any problems. The original radiator is 20 years and over 300,000 miles old and I still think the dealer broke it when replacing the timing belt.
