🔧 Enhance Shifting Precision with Speed Dawg Metric Thread Shift Knob Adapter Kit - 6 Sizes, Silver/Gold Review

Had to downsize the gear knob to a smaller size to suit the application, great product came in a variety of sizes and even had lock nuts.

There are no instructions with this kit but it was fairly easy to figure out what to do with it. I found the right adapter for my needs and screwed it on. No problem.

Very well made adapters. It was every size except the one I needed. I use an old Hurst shifter that was lying around and uses a 7/16 fine-thread knob. It has a large 7/16 thread.

Perfect for mounting a 2018 Dodge Challenger Bamboo shifter on my 2014 Honda CR-Z. I was afraid the thread would play a little, but the kit snaps tight so the handle doesn't play at all.

Does its job. MUCH cheaper than American Shifter's branded adapters and comes with every adapter you'll ever need (and almost certainly some you'll never use). I'm hoping that at some point I'll need other adapters (since of course I bought these to fit a specific shifter ball to a specific shifter). I think that's a good reason to buy more cars for the project!

Well the nut they sent fits great but the brass bushing has poor internal threading. If it was 3/4 way (no cross thread) and there's no way to grab it and unscrew it, I'm stuck with it sitting high on the switch threads. Would take over the channel lock but kill the external threads. Not happy I had to buy a set of 6 when I needed 1 but I hoped the one I needed was really well made! It is a pity. Don't Buy Speed Dawg!

This shift knob is a real eight. The threaded insert is durable. I bought inserts of different sizes but I didn't need them. My 2013 Rubicon had this ugly European style shifter. I destroyed it by removing it. The shaft is hard so I used an angle grinder to reduce the diameter. Then I used a die to cut the thread. After 30 minutes of preparation and work. The finished look is amazing. The eight lies perfectly in the hand! I highly recommend it!
