Sperry Top Sider Halyard Sneakers for Athletic Performance Review

This is the third pair I have bought for my husband. He likes her looks. The only problem is that they wear out all the time. They last about a year before he needs new ones. The part where the shoe flexes as you walk breaks first because the rubber is torn from the fabric, then the heel wears out, and finally there are holes in the place of the little toes. I would still recommend them because they are so versatile, just wish we didn't have to buy them as often.

I usually wear a size 13 BUT I prefer a size 12. It sucks to find shoes that are in the perfect zone where my toes aren't cramped but they don't fit snugly On the leg. They were a little tight but the length was perfect. Very convenient. I removed my laces and treated them like slip ons and I couldn't be happier. Will buy a few more when these wear out. Like the shoes.

Liked the size and shape and everything but the color is not as advertised. Take the color in the photo, add a slight blue cast and darken it a bit. This is how the color of this shoe came across to me. In the picture it's mottled gray and I don't think it looks gray at all, even in direct sunlight. Just be careful.f

I love these shoes and have bought them twice but I am giving them three stars because of the smell they capture. Not wanting to be rude, my feet never smell in shoes (whether I'm wearing socks or not) unless they're sneakers, of course. However, they always seem to give off an unpleasant foot odor. It's a shame, because I like the look. When you buy them, you get a pack of Scent Eaters.

They seem to be well made. I wear 10 and they seem to be true. They have memory foam insoles. I don't know if that's good or bad. Someone said they like the bow prop. I find almost NO arch support. I added an insole that provides this. The laces are too long, so they have to be tied twice. They look good and are reasonably comfortable, if a little chunky. I really like these wool men's Sperry sneakers. I'm a woman and I usually wear a size 8 and 1/2 so I bought seven and they fit perfectly. They are very well made and very sturdy shoes.
