The overall functionality of this tool is great for our needs as we use it to build out an app that allows users in multiple locations across different time zones access all their information from one console/app at once! I am not sure if there are any downsides or shortcomings with using splice however none have been brought up thus far so everything seems good! We used splicing because its ease of integration into Salesforce was key along side being able to provide end user support when…
Pros
Ability integrate directly within SFDC without additional 3rd party tools
Easy custom development capabilities (ease, speed etc)
Customer service provided by Splice dev team during implementation phases
The most important thing is that it supports all major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc. Also, we have full control over our data which means more security for us. We do not need to manage any servers or databases ourselves in order to use this tool. It's just like having an external database with SQL support but better because of its scalability. As mentioned above I think there are no downsides at all.
Everything works well so far. If you're looking forward to using a tool
Pros
Easy deployment
High availability features (DRBD)
Supports multiple clouds/providers ebs based storage option
Scalable architecture across your environment without compromising performance
It is a tool that helps me to create my models with less effort and it's free! I would like to have more options to customize the way I want them to be (maybe in the future it could be possible), but for now I'm very happy with what I've got. The best thing about this software is that you don't need any specific skills or experience. You just need to know how to use the tool. The UI isn't so clear as other tools I've used before.
But I think it's a matter of taste. Once you get used to it…
Pros
Very easy configuration
Good user support community by email/telephone call from staffed experts.
