Spooky Fun: 4 Halloween Pattern Coaster Molds + Stand For Resin Casting & Home Decor Review

I made my first coaster using one of the "pebbly" molds and I was pretty happy with it, though the process was a bit more difficult than it needed to be (more later). Then I tried using one of the "wavy" molds and I discovered they're useless. If you use them one way up you get a very uneven surface which I wouldn't trust to put a cup or glass on. These molds were just difficult. It was hard to figure out what side to pour the resin into to begin with, and then one side comes out flat and the other side comes out shiny, they aren’t very thick either side. The coaster holder is even more difficult. It was a great idea but it just doesn’t work for coasters. Returning.

All the coaster molds do not hold the same amount of resin so when they are unmolded they all look like whoever made them had no idea what they were doing. All the coasters are a different thickness, they certainly do not look like they are supposed to be a set. Very disappointed. To even remotely be able to have a "set" I would have to use just one mold and make one coaster at a time.

This was my first time using molds. it was fun and easy. I making Christmas gifts with mine, I highly recommend! The coaster molds may require a significant amount of skill to use properly, particularly if the customer is not experienced with resin casting.

These molds cost a fortune elsewhere but not at Best Buy. I've wanted these textures for some time but couldn't justify the cost. Now, I have 4 different textures for half the price of one anywhere else. The molds are made well and I expect to use them often.

The only things I didn't like is they aren't very thick and they don't sit straight up in the holder. but they do come out nicely

I ordered two sets of these and they both were made incorrectly. As you can see from the photos, there is no cut portion on the top of the base for the coasters to sit in.The second image shows the portion is inverted where the coasters should sit, but on the other side. Definitely sending these back!

Got about 10 pours our of them and then center started popping making it where epoxy wouldn't fill in the center. Also, after putting backing on them to make them safe for tables, they won't fot in holder.
