I use this on my handlebar mustache and it works great for me. Just the right curl size. The brush is made of lightweight wood, which is good for styling. My only concern is that the wood the brush is made of appears inferior. I haven't had the brush very long and it's holding up well, but I don't expect it to last very long before it falls apart. I'm not an expert. This is just my opinion.

It's amazing what you can do with this little brush. I'm a 60 year old guy who still has a lot of hair but I want to make sure it goes in the right place and stays there. I just cut off all my colored hair myself, now my hair is white and very very short. So this brush is perfect for when I need to clean at all! I have two of these. One in boar hair and the other with nylon bristles. They're great for my beard. Allows me to get a nice tight curl under my chin for a very neat look. On the negative side, the handle is made of cheap wood and doesn't like water. It detaches from the tooth enamel. This is important when using hairspray and more on a boar comb. That's why it loses a star. But for the price it's great.

I bought this comb because my hair was short and I needed something to give it volume and keep it from standing up. It's almost perfect. My only criticism of the brush is that it doesn't detangle my hair as easily as I would like. It tends to get stuck in my hair. But I got used to it. I don't think it's intended for thick hair.
