My daughter is 4 years old, 40 inches tall and wore about 5T. I ordered these skirts in size XS and the waistband is fitted and fits well with the extension. The shorts and skirt are longer than average which I like. Maybe it's because she's smaller than other girls who wear that size. The skirt hits below the knees and the shorts hit 3/4 of the hips.

These skirts will run too short if I order the wrong size that fits her and if I order the next size up to get a longer length, which is still too short , the waste is too big. Hello manufacturers and parents. Look at our world today, it's a mess, one of the reasons is that the old-fashioned notions of modesty are a thing of the past. They don't even make knee-length skirts for girls anymore, only for women. But these, even in shorts, only teach our daughters that super short skirts are normal.

These skirts are true to size and AMAZING. The length is quite long which I like as most skirts come out mini for kids and my daughters love to spin in them! They have BAGS. DEEP GREAT POCKETS.
