I bought this for my 2 year old son who normally wears 24 months or 2t. He's a small boy with a small waist. Based on previous reviews I went with 18 months as several people have commented that these pants last a very long time. I received my package and actually this size was flooded on it but the waist part was almost right. I needed gray dress pants for my young son for some of the events he attends throughout the year (e.g. the violin recitals he performs at) . I didn't know when I ordered that they are almost entirely made of polyester. This means these pants have a slight "shine" which makes them feel cheap and not exactly my type.
