Perfect for driving to the shop

EASY on and off. Ideal for navigating icy parking lots. If you are going to the store/cinema/church/etc. come, lean against the wall and just unhook. Not for hiking. A wish for short-term urban wear came true. I fell badly twice while wearing ordinary spikes - I entered the building and forgot they were on me. It is difficult to remove ordinary spikes - you need to sit.

I can't express how much I love these stabilizers

I can't express how much I love these stabilizers! you saved my life We've had a record amount of snow here in Idaho this year and the ice has been treacherous. These STABLILICERS are so great because they are easy to put on and take off, not to mention the confidence they give you when you put them on. I ordered an extra pack of parts for them but haven't even had a chance to use them yet, this product is so well made. I've been using them every day for several months, if you like a firm…

Good but limited use

I've used these for two seasons and they've held up well. Their main limitation is that they are held in place by an elastic rubber band. If these boots get caught in ice or snow, they can slide off the bottom of the heel and land on the back of the heel. This has only happened to me when working in the snow on uneven surfaces. I've had no problems walking on snow or ice and that's what I use them for (still a problem going downhill although they haven't slipped off yet). I use the Stabilicer…

For people shorter than me.

I bought a pair of these because my driveway is up a fairly steep slope and I slipped three times last winter while shoveling snow and fell on concrete. I never learned how to fall on concrete without injuring myself. At the risk of being ridiculed by readers, I just want to say this: If you wear size 15 boots and weigh 300 pounds or more, these boots will not fit you. If you're over 62 and have worked hard all your life and are therefore not very flexible anymore, you won't even want to try…

But it works great on ice.

I tried them on the first day I received them and they worked great on the ice. On the second day I went out in the snow and fell on my back. My thought was that the way I walked on the snow (forgot the ice underneath) was more pronounced and the spikes caught in the ice, but my boot kept moving forward and slipped off the heel. I put the straps back on and tightened them, thinking they were too loose, but later removed both. I think they're great, as does the company, and I intend to only use…
