This is a Staedtler and Made in Germany quality stencil, it won't break if you're careful, it doesn't look like the fine junk you might find buy at a craft store/art, that's the quality you'll find anywhere on the pond, not for sale here in the states. The stencil bends a little, but not much, if you bend it sharply, it will break, it should not be thrown, but put in a bag with other things lying on it.
