Great little accessory.

Get this little adapter and use any microphone stand as a tripod for your phone, GoPro or camera. I'm a musician and I always carry this adapter in my music backpack along with my phone mount and my GoPro. If I'm ever in a situation where I need to record a video or take a photo of a performance, there's usually a mic standing somewhere nearby and BAM! , instant tripod. Buy a few and throw them in your music cases, backpack, car, etc. etc. Recommended

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Dear

Very useful and very economical.

Very practical small adapter. If space is limited, take the thinnest mic stand, attach one of these adapters to it, and mount your video, webcam, or still camera on it. Ideal when a tripod is too bulky or takes up too much space. When your camera doesn't need much panning or tilting, this genuine adapter comes to the rescue. A smart buy and given the face value this is a real deal. A must have for any photographer or videographer.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

This is a 5/8 " to 1/4 " adapter

Part On-Stage MA-125 - 5/8"-27 Jack (Mic Stand) for camera mounts 1/4 "-20 "father". Product description is wrong. The text description is confusing because it has a 3/8"-27 female thread (which is incorrect). As a camera mount adapter that allows you to mount a camera (or digital recorder) to a standard mic stand, it works well.. The length of the 1/4" bolt is 1/4". The barrel (attached to the mic stand) is 9/16" long and strong. Deep grooves on the barrel make it easy to grip.

Pros
  • Nice construction
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

A cheap way to use a mic stand as a simple tripod.

What a brilliant idea! I have a couple of RadioShack mic stands, but only one tripod. Since my tripod has a detachable head that I attach to my camcorder, I can't just use it with something else. I wanted a cheap tripod or stand for my RICOH Theta M15 360 camera (as well as my existing 3D camera) and decided to try this and a mic stand instead of a cheap tripod. That was a great savings! You can't tilt the camera, but that doesn't matter for a 360-degree image, so it works fantastic for me.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I'm worried

How can you screw up something so simple like that.

very bad quality. The carving on both the female and male sides was very poor. Nearly useless, can damage anything you attach it to. Also, it was not the same as the part in the photo. I was hoping it would be of a higher quality than the ones that look like the ones I already have. The picture shows one that is molded/equipped with vertical grooves to ensure grip. The part that arrived had the exact same hatch as the one I already had, only this part was even inferior to them in quality. Do…

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • almost everything ok
