Ok for the price

Update: Some fasteners no longer pull well. Only regret this purchase after about a month and I will have to buy something else. What I like best about this mic stand is the price, but I got a little better understanding of what I needed that it wasn't stable enough for my use and the range wasn't long enough. never mind If you need something cheap just to get it done, this will work. I put my camera bag on the base as a sandbag when using it as a pole mount, but I wish the reach was a bit…

Perfect for Blue Yeti

I bought this for my Blue Yeti after Hazelnuttygames recommended it during their Blue Yeti video. I really like this stand, it's well made and fits my Blue Yeti perfectly. The Yeti screws right into the stand with no adjustments, and as long as you tighten all the screws it does a great job of holding my Yeti exactly where I want it. I wanted to write this review because there is a lot of conflicting information in the answers and reviews. To clarify, the screw on the end of the stand is…

  • Infinitely slow

I already have a RevainBasics tripod mic for home studio use and needed another for on location use. I decided to take the On Stage stand to see if there is a noticeable difference and if it's worth the extra cost. balanced (because it weighs more). Revain is great for home use. But I trust this one more alive. The "one-hand adjustment" feature on this stand is frankly silly. Since there are three adjustment points and only one with a "one-handed" steering wheel, it's more of a gimmick. If you…

Not very solid or stable.

I used it once and had to buy something else. The mechanism that compresses the angle of the shaft has no teeth or gears to hold it in place. As soon as you place the microphone on the stand, the shaft begins to sag. You have to ridiculously tighten it to keep it where you want it. I had to tighten it so tight I was afraid I would break it. And even in this case, a slight downward pressure can cause the boom to drop. I've had many other mic stands that also didn't have locking teeth for this…

Excellent quality (see first update)

Ideal for playing guitar and singing into a microphone. I was surprised that at such a price the quality of the stand was so good. I originally bought this for training, but I am more than confident that I will take it with me wherever I go. Good quality tightening knobs and shafts, easy assembly right out of the box. Highly recommended. TO UPDATE. Unfortunately, after about five uses, the nut and bolt at the base of the stand no longer tightened enough to hold the downtube, which is now…

Tried an inexpensive scissor stand to attach to my desk. The angles of my setup and the design of the console just didn't allow for the mic flexibility or isolation I was looking for. I'm typing pretty fast and no matter what I tried I couldn't isolate the vibration from the desk top mounted microphone. I returned this item and ordered it based on a YouTube video recommendation. I couldn't be happier with the design and quality of the product. I was only $9 more than a cheap scissor/desk stand,

Good enough to buy another one

This is the second On Stage Rack I've bought. I give it 4 stars because I need to buy a second stand. Don't get me wrong, these are good coasters. I've had another one for a few years and have traveled with it and used it in many different situations where it has always worked great without me having to think twice. Unfortunately, the threads on the clutch ring have snapped, so I can't lock the stand in place once it's up. I thought about ordering a replacement part, but for such a price I…

Great mic stand for home studio

After reading mixed reviews I was really wondering if it would meet my needs. I use this strictly for my home music hobby, so I didn't need anything that could withstand tons of abuse; However, I needed something that wouldn't break immediately with regular use. I've only had it a few weeks, but I was immediately impressed with the quality of the materials and the moving parts. So far I haven't had any problems with tipping, sliding or anything like that. The only thing that bothered me is that
