I don't make smoothies so they are much closer to the actual size of a straw than very thick ones. I also really liked that they have no bend. I have used and washed them several times. The only complaint I have is that the brush that comes with the kit is a bit small to properly clean the straws, but I had a better one to attach to make it work.

These are great straws and my kids love them. They get very cold when placed in a cold drink, which is a novel experience. It almost makes the drink colder than it is. They hold up well for the first month of use and are easy to clean. The included cleaning stick is good, although we didn't use it much. We mainly used them for water and washed them immediately. They seem to do well in the dishwasher.

I wasn't sure if I should order these straws but I really like them. They keep the drink cold by rising through the straw. I've only used them with water, Myo etc so I don't know how they clean other things but I haven't had any issues so far. I will say I was hesitant to let my preschool son use it because it's tough and I think it might break a tooth? For my personal needs, however, I like the product very much.
