I love using tea leaves because I can mix green tea with jasmine and organic ginger. Works perfectly. With them I can make whatever cup of tea I want and my husband can make whatever he wants. They also work well in our caravan. But they both fell apart, so I'm looking for a better filter.

Even my most difficult brews with finer sediments like tea and herbs go great with it. No more guessing what hot spice comes with each sip. They clean very well, don't rust and don't hold water in nooks and crannies so they won't rust. So far (at least in 3 months of ownership) no signs of rust and I use them almost every day.

Only used 5 months and broken. The top with the handles detached from the strainer glass. I noticed wet tea leaves getting stuck under the inner rim when trying to clean it. The reason for this is the same reason it fell apart, the two sections are poorly connected. I started using the second one (good job it was two packs) and the same thing happened with some wet tea leaves getting stuck. It's only a matter of time before the second breaks.

This is a great option for loose leaf tea instead of a pebble strainer. This brewing unit allows the tea leaves to expand and swirl in the water, releasing flavors and beneficial compounds more easily into the water. The vinyl coating on the handles is a really great feature as the metal edge gets hot from the water. This simple additional feature sets this item apart from other similar breweries with only steel rims.

I looked at a few cool boxes before deciding on this one. The silicone on the handles and lid is amazing and I'm surprised at how many metal handles are NOT available on the internet! I can't tell you how hot metal is when it's soaked (and I promise this isn't from personal experience with burning fingers lol).
