I'll make it quick. Hot coffee or tea cools down so much in less than an hour that it needs to be reheated. This is in Southern California where it rarely drops below 60 degrees. Even when the lid is tightly closed, it drips a little. This is not proof of a leak. This keeps the outside of the cup cool. The matte finish takes on the color of your coffee or tea and requires a thorough brushing to get it clear. I would not recommend that. A short thermos works much better.

As a contractor, this is exactly what I was looking for. I can make a cup of coffee at 4am and it's still warm at 9am. I measured the temperature of 165* when brewing and 120* after 5 hours. Also this mug holds 18 ounces to the top of the rim. You cannot unscrew the cap if it is filled to the top. I fill it with 16 oz and the lid works great. As for the cover, you can't slurp through it. You must remove it. The cup is strong and I haven't had any leaking issues. Overall I'm very happy with it.

Packaging: The mug came in a cardboard box twice wrapped in a plastic bag and bubble wrap so everything was fine. much like the Yeti mug already did, there is one difference in design - a screw top lid. The inside of the mug and lid are threaded which is a nice touch. In addition, the lid is equipped with a thick silicone sealing ring to prevent leakage. I loved the weight and size of this mug. I drink coffee twice a day and find this mug keeps my coffee nice and hot. I gave this mug five stars based on the Revain description. I have a problem (not a complaint): I have a tumbler that my Lexus dealer gave me when I rented my RX. The Lexus Tumbler is comparable in price and keeps my coffee hot as long as yours. Ordered this thermos which I have used daily since 2003. I liked the wide base, screw top and double steel walls. I received it and loved its simple, sturdy design and that the wide base made it almost tipping-proof on my desk (the one time I accidentally knocked it over didn't work.
