I have tried many hammers, including titanium hammers like the Stiletto. This one feels really good (although the titanium studs felt really good too). The balance, the grip, everything about it is good and the relief on the arm and hand is amazing. Like this one.
Good household hammer. I like the anti-vibration feature. Is it important. The hammer isn't the heaviest, but we didn't need it for our purposes. It has good balance and weight. If you have smaller hands you can go down a bit. We have used Stanley hand tools for many years and have found them to be a good choice. We are not professionals and I cannot comment or recommend these people.
Got this to replace an old Estwing E3-16S 16 hammer I've had for at least 10 years. Estwing has done an excellent job throughout the house throughout his life, but the finishes rusted over time. Any surface I leave it on will be marked with rust. This Stanley is painted so everything should look fine. I don't build houses together, just tinkering around on my own house here and there, and it's worked like a hammer so far.
One of the best tools I've bought. Used it on a construction site and my masons don't use their hammers anymore. Handy and the length is just right when you want to reach a nail from near to far. Most hammers don't offer that much grip and confidence when working, especially with a wider face you won't miss a shot. Stanley 51-163 16-oz FatMax Xtreme AntiVibe Nail Hammer Rip
Hammer Is there a hammer? Not for me. There are over a dozen in my toolbox (many more when I think about it). I may have OCD when it comes to using the right tool for the job. This was bought as a universal hammer for a remote control tool box. In this form, it must be performed in a variety of situations. This explains the average weight and smooth face. I prefer a curved claw to hammers with claws. The grip is comfortable, if a bit small (I wear big gloves). The magnetic nail launcher isn't…
I bought this hammer after driving some nails in with my old wooden handles. The next day my hand hurt. Of course I haven't done that for a while, but I felt the blows from the hammer blows. I got a Stanley hammer and used it on another project. The hammer feels solid and balanced and drives nails well, the head area is larger than I usually see which is nice. I hammered a lot of nails for the project and didn't feel any of the hits I experienced with my old hammer. Also, my hand was in perfect
I tried this hammer shortly after it arrived to test it based on the reviews I had read and found it did what it said it would. It has great feel and balance, and the large head is a plus as every hit hits the nails confidently. However, I would wear light gloves when handling this hammer, especially if hands are not calloused enough as the handle can cause tingling. Of course, that's not a problem, because this grip ensures that the hammer remains within reach when swinging. Nice hammer too! I
Overall the hammer is very good but the one I received has an irregular shaped head. It was tilted a few degrees. The problem is I didn't notice until I used it 2 days ago when I drove a nail into a bolt and left a moon shaped dent on the right side of the bolt. After several observations of this phenomenon, I looked closely at the face of the hammer and found that the face was tilted. Unfortunately, the deadline for returning the product has expired, so I could not return it. Now I'm stuck…
