poorly done with tape measure

As a carpenter (customs house) I have used Fat Max tapes for years and loved them all. I decided to try auto block and it sucks. After a month of fighting to actually block the feed, the block button finally surfaced and was never seen again. Looks like it worked for a month. However, I still recommend regular Fat Max tape.

Pros
  • wow
Cons
  • boring packaging

The lock broke after about two hours.

Pros: Easy to read. It comes with a latch on the other side. The auto-lock feature was really good while it lasted. The auto-lock function broke very quickly. Barely enough to get my feet wet with this feature before the tape started creeping back on its own. Very disappointing. I think Stanley could fix it if they just put a better stopper or spring in it.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Large and bulky

The auto lock feature is a joke

Most of the design and construction of this roulette appears to be pretty solid. Unfortunately, the auto-lock feature seems good enough to barely work when the tape measure is still in its display packaging. It hasn't worked properly since I first bought it locally about a year ago. Especially when used in a sawdust environment, the lock function only works as a "creep retreat" function. use.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
