They were very tight for a small hand. And the name tag holder is meaningless. As soon as you move the scissors to open them, the plastic part will move. Luckily Amazon refunded my money. I later found that if I ripped off the plastic name holder and loosened it up a bit with a screwdriver, they worked well. But the buyer should not do that! I give two stars because they cut normally after my adjustments.

Unable to open. A full review will be posted in a few days when the stationery knife arrives. Update: the writing knife could not be opened. We had to order another to open the first one. Update 2: We borrowed a box cutter from the neighbors to open the box of the box cutter we bought, and then use the scissors to open the box. Update 3: Scissors work as described. Great price Sharp and they cut very well.

I was looking for left handed scissors and they were high on my list of options. I wouldn't have thought for a second that they weren't for left-handers. I took a quick look at the reviews and most were positive. The price was unbeatable for 2 scissors. I assume they will go to my son's class as not worth returning. Hopefully Amazon can get them to stop popping up when searching for left handed shears as I can see I'm not the only parent having the issue.

These scissors have a small plastic sleeve that opens so you can put a small piece of paper with your child's name inside. Convenient considering they may be going to school with your child. Unfortunately the design of the case is such that when you open and close the scissors (e.g. to cut) the plastic case will also open and the paper(s) for your baby's name will fly out! I first bought some of these for my grandkids and the scissors are perfect for them. Good sharp cutting edge with no lethal edge and easy to use for small hands. But then it occurred to me that those are decent scissors and that adults should have a pair of scissors in every room in addition to a pair of large scissors. So I bought more for myself!
