These scissors have a small plastic sleeve that opens so you can put a small piece of paper with your child's name inside. Convenient considering they may be going to school with your child. Unfortunately the design of the case is such that when you open and close the scissors (e.g. to cut) the plastic case will also open and the paper(s) for your baby's name will fly out! The scissors themselves also seem to be quite stiff. Big disappointment and I am sending them back. I will order Fiskars. They are more expensive but we already have a pair and they are of high quality.
