Anyway his coffee press is good

I wanted a small personal French press, this one is too big. up to 5 in a cup and 10 if the cup is small. In any case, the coffee machine has a good filter.

Perfect. in French presses

The best French press I have bought for the price at Revain. It's more than I thought. You can enjoy 2 large cups of whatever you prepare. My Cryo Brew turned out perfect. The filter doesn't go all the way down unless you use a little more of the base you're using, but STILL great.

  • Finally bought
Cons
  • No.

Works for coffee, tea and espresso

Works. I give it two stars because the wire mesh constantly lets coarse coffee grounds through. Just a little hassle to get to the bottom of the cup and find the coffee grounds. My glass coffee press that I've had for years never had this problem, but it broke when I dropped it. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Fairly well

There are better options

I bought this as a cheap replacement for my old French Press. The biggest bummer is that the "push" part of this item is about 2/3 lost/unscrewed when you push it down. That means coffee beans in coffee. Even if I don't push it all the way down, the metal filter doesn't cut straight, so the grains still slip through.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Will do

Suitable for French Press

In general, coffee will turn out. The mesh screen you use to push down the coffee grounds lets a lot through, but I personally don't mind drinking the coffee grounds anyway, so that's not a problem. A lot of thick matter also gets stuck in the filter section. Other than that it works like a French press should and isn't bad for the price, just be prepared to drink hard.

Pros
  • Only positive reviews
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Best Coffee: Coffee Makers

I bought this to try the French Press and I'm pleasantly surprised at how good the coffee tastes. I buy coffee beans and nothing expensive. It tastes so much better than I thought I could with this gadget and I have recommended it to many of my family and friends. It didn't cost much and it makes one of the best coffees I've ever tasted. Great find.

Pros
  • Great Design

  • Some Issues

Lightweight and durable non-hermetic filter.

This is a great French press for camping or traveling as it is difficult to break and very light. However, plastic is not something I would drink every day. Even BPA-free plastic can cause long-term health problems. That being said, even if you don't worry that it's made of plastic, the strainer is undersized and poorly constructed. The sealing spring is also small, which prevents the filter from being tight against the container and coffee grounds getting into your coffee. Even with the…

Just what I needed for a quick night hike

PRO: Does what it's supposed to. Seems strong enough. Easy to pack with other camping gear. (no more than I usually get in my home drip coffee maker) Better than being stuck with instant or freeze dried coffee on the go as I don't have to fill the coffee maker full like others do. CONS: Seems to be weaker than my homemade drip coffee maker, even with increasing recommended brew time and even with more ground coffee. For some reason I was under the impression that a French Press would produce a…

Great French camping press!

Reading some of the reviews you might think this is a very bad French Press, but it isn't. This coffee press is most likely made for camping as it is made by Stansport and Stansport makes and sells camping gear. I bought this coffee maker to replace my camping coffee maker which was a cracked and leaking Starbucks French Press (also plastic as it was made for camping). This press has made excellent coffee at home and will be tested at a campsite later this year. For those whose coffee grounds…
