Protection in the Rain: Stansport Commercial Rainsuit – Waterproof & Reliable Review

Sizing seems a bit large but the Velcro on the wrists and ankles helps a bit. be too baggy, of poor quality or just look stupid. They fold up nicely for storage under the seat. The quality seems to be quite good. Sure, I look a bit silly in bright yellow Piaggio, but you can see me in the rain!

I have used these while washing and testing some fiddly fire hoses at work and only a few drops spilled when accidentally sprayed at close range so I would definitely recommend them for use at recommend rain. Otherwise, the ankle opening was very wide, but that's pretty typical for rainwear. There's definitely better gear out there, but for the price I'd say it's a fantastic set.

A little big for my husband. but I think it was because he ordered a larger size. Includes hat to complete the look. This should provide full coverage (from head to toe) in rain and snow. Seems to be a solid material considering the price. We'll see how it holds up after a few uses. Hubby is a trucker and he got this in hopes that he wouldn't get wet again if he strapped himself in with a chain or whatever gets him wet!

After carrying a mobile phone for 30 minutes, the stitching in the pocket came undone making it unusable. Then the seam (just heat sealed, not stitched) in the jumpsuit from crotch to waist is completely torn when you lean into it. For a product billed as a "commercial" raincoat, it really isn't going to do any serious work. I am seriously disappointed in the quality of this product and the only reason it got one star is because the jacket is intact at the moment. I recommend looking elsewhere…

At work I am completely outdoors in the early morning hours when temperatures can drop below freezing. The last time it rained I was wearing a kind of flimsy raincoat and got soaked to the skin. Main drawback #1 is that the front zip is totally unusable. It's very poorly made, has very few plastic parts, and is almost impossible to line up and close, so just use plastic snaps (which are also cheap and poor quality, by the way) instead, just in case.
