Great for macro adjustment

I use this as a micro adjustment for my router in my router chart. None of the router holders worked on my old router. I just put it under the router, fine tune it, and save $$$.

Good little jack, suitable for jacks and stabilizers

My expensive weight bench tips a bit when it's flat and I'm lying with dumbbells on my back. So I use it along with a 1 inch washer and 2 rubber bushings. Works perfectly. Good quality. Maybe one day I'll find another use for it if I need to lift something an inch or so.

beautiful piece of metal

I'm embarrassed to use such a sophisticated device for such a primitive purpose, but it's part of the prop for my sagging dining table. It's like using a microscope for reading glasses, or using a gantry crane to lift a pot off the stove. I hope one day to have a tech need that matches this great Starrett product. Please don't tell my neighbors for now.

Pros
  • Excellent overall quality

  • Not bad

EXTREMELY USEFUL for leveling and stabilizing

These little jacks, each capable of holding about 1/3 ton, have so many uses beyond what they were made for. Extremely useful for leveling and lifting objects. Get a cross-test level and a box of hockey pucks (to use as shims and spacers) and you'll be able to hit a lot more trails than you ever dreamed of. Hard to imagine that there were too many!

  • Easy Installation

Fixed sagging console!

I had to remove the center stand from this Ikea TV console to place it on a raised floor. Of course, over time it has developed a very pronounced sag in the middle. I finally took the time to really search and find the right keywords to get this article. I bought two and placed them under each post and turned the screw to increase the height with no problem. The solution works well because I can tweak it over time as the part gets the right shape. The quality is superb, clearly more than enough

  • Durable Test Results

Perfect Size!: Alignment and Stabilization

I needed a very small jack to raise the underside of the wooden deck rail to allow the metal bars to fit the top rail. Over time, the bottom rail had to deform, causing the metal rods to fall out. When my deck was laid, the carpenters made a 10 foot section with no floor support. I plan to buy a second one to cover a larger area. The only problem is that I left a small rod that you twist to raise or lower the jack in the jack. It rusts from heavy rain. But Jack is great. Easy to use. I'm 72 and
