📏 Precision Length Measurement with Starrett SM66ME Adhesive Measure Review

I was expecting this to peel off my table fairly quickly but it sticks. I put it on the working edge and try not to stick things in it or beat it up, but sometimes it happens. So far it's stuck and the edges didn't fit. I did a good cleaning, including wiping with alcohol, before carefully installing it. It's so handy! I placed it at the front of my sewing table as a handy reference when I want to measure small lengths of anything - ribbons, trims, elastics, etc (reviews sort of) and I checked it with a steel tape measure. So the longer you measure, the less accurate it gets, but for my needs, that's exactly what I need. I only needed two feet. (I put the rest of the correct length on my garage wall to measure my grandkids' height! Love it!

I ordered this product (PU tape) but when the order arrived all three packages were actually the steel version. I thought I accidentally ordered the wrong item and used one of the three packs I bought, but the listing actually says it's PU tape and not the steel version. Check your order when it arrives. I have the latest generation Delta Unisaw table saw. The rail has a cutout for 3/4" wide tape. We need to move the guide, which means we need to move the tape. We purchased a left-to-right Starrett tape to replace the original tape. I purchased this tape measure from Starrett to replace the tape measure on my table saw. After making some cuts, here's the difference in my readings. Then I compared with three different roulettes (different brands). All tape measures read the same, but Starrett's measurement differed by 1/32 by three feet. It's no good when accuracy is important. This works for what I want to be able to level my fence faster instead of guessing or measuring every time you cut something. I hate wasting so much time on nonsense like this. Now I think I'm accurate to 1/100th, so close it's amazing how a $0.7 thing can save so much time.
