Disappointing reflective tape for safety

This reflective tape does not live up to expectations for industrial and scientific use. While it may be affordable, it is not very durable and does not reflect as brightly as other DOT C2 certified tapes. The only pro is its affordability, but it's not worth sacrificing safety for a cheaper option.

Essentially bureaucracy, not reflectivity.

Up close they look reflective, but from a distance in the dark when a super bright flash shines on them, um, not so reflective. The test was done by having the person holding the tape flicker the tape in their hand to make sure it wasn't at a bad angle. No, let's go back to where we came from. Bought for boat safety reasons. I'm in a kayak and I MUST be seen in every way possible. Now Starry Solas (or similar) are the real deal. Got it on the original Solas band and I have to say it's brighter!

High Visibility, Poor Adhesion

Purchased for use on flat metal surfaces on a hitch mounted bike rack It seems to work satisfactorily for this application however I have used it on the carbon fiber blades of my kayak paddle and despite surface prep with alcohol and acetone the tape will come up immediately, contact with water only speeds up this process, unlike the reflective tapes of other well-known brands I've used, the adhesive is poor, and the rigidity of the white prism base prevents it from self-sealing on slightly…
