Well, you can pay less for an eSATA docking station. However, my experience is that this product really is worth every penny spent.

I tried two other cheaper brands before finding a reliable eSATA docking station for Windows 10 PCs. I've noticed that StarTech's prices have been remarkably stable. I suspect their quality convinces their customers that StarTech products are worth a little more than they're worth. When trying to find a decent docking station, I used the same cables and connectors. Only the StarTech dock did all the tasks I asked it to do. From bulk copying to important archives, I was finally able to get tasks

2nd purchase, Fan Works

I recently bought one of these. The fan never worked. Returned if Revain for a refund. I was tempted to give them another chance by buying them again. UPDATE March 2nd: I took a chance and bought it again to see if the fan would work. To address my earlier complaint, there's a tiny fan switch that's barely visible on the lower right side of the case. Easy Solution for Additional Storage for DVR

I have a top of the range Tivo DVR, I thought I had enough space to record 4TB but not enough time to watch all the shows I really like so my 4TB was reduced to 18% of the remaining space .
