Good monitor switch. Deserves five stars from this seasoned KVM user.

I use this switch to control a third monitor that works in conjunction with the excellent IO Gear Switch. I was skeptical of StarTech because I had their dual DVI switch, which had much more generalized audio glitches than IOGEAR's professional switch (even though the IO Gear cost over $120). Anyway, for a single monitor switcher I think this does a great job. As with most switches, be careful with the mouse, most complex mice have problems, but I can offer advice as I own many computers and…

    Good KVM, an annoying problem.

I chose this for my desktop to replace another 4 port KVM. The old KVM I was using had a lot of problems connecting to a Mac and a PC at the same time. When both were connected, input on the Mac was delayed and often lost, rendering KVM unusable. I've used other StarTech.com hardware in the past and was generally happy with it, so decided to give it a try. The result, while not perfect, is much better than the old KVM I had. I currently have KVM connected to my home desktop, current generation…

Finally a KVM that works with my gaming mouse

It was more than I wanted to spend but I'm tired of not having a DPI adjustable on most Mouse can use other KVMs. (Standard KVM uses a generic mouse drive, so you can't use dedicated mouse software.) I didn't want to spend more on the Connect Pro models, so I just use them as a keyboard/mouse switcher. (Why doesn't anyone make a non-video version of DDM?) If you're looking for a 4-port KM switch to support your gaming mouse, give this a try. Only 3 stars as I'm subtracting 2 stars for the DVI…

More problems than good, mainly due to numerous malfunctions.

Very unreliable. First I toggled the sound and then stopped interacting with the sound completely. The only way around this problem is to connect the speakers directly to my main computer, leaving other computers with no audio output. There is also often confusion when switching videos. It does not tolerate systems trying to use different monitor resolutions. After forcing all systems to use the same monitor resolution I thought I solved this problem but no. It still happens to be hanging on…

    Pros
    • Near universal compatibility with all USB input devices via USB DDM ports
    Cons
    • Long latency

Works as I hoped. 3 year warranty (parts and labor)

Works as hoped. I like the 4 mounting screw holes on each side. They're supposed to fit in a 19" rack, but I wanted to mount them under my desk. So I made my own brackets and now I can slide them in and out under my desk. This is a good idea to save space. Why add clutter to the top of the table? I didn't want it permanently installed because it would be harder to get to the cables. Switches video first, then USB ports (mouse, keyboard) after about a second or two. Much faster than the Belkin…

    Pros
    • Set up and work right out of the box with included KVM cables
