If you have multiple I/O devices, this is very good. A suggestion for StarTech - give us a .

Rig control and TNC. I tried. Arrived today. Since I'm using Windows 10, the instructions weren't precise. I had to use Device Manager to select the included drivers. The key to the Win 10 installation process is to restart your computer after downloading these drivers. Otherwise, the serial ports will still be marked with small yellow triangles next to them and will be listed as "other devices". Ham Radio Deluxe Rig control via device has now been successfully introduced with room for 3 more…

For connection to 8 RS-232 devices. It works fine but the display is weird

I have used this to successfully connect 8 RS-232 temperature controllers to a single USB port. I read in 0.5 second intervals and it works fine. The strange thing is that the port mapping didn't match the port numbering on the box. It was hit and miss. I had to poll on a port and move the device connection to different ports to see which one was active. And for some reason even unused port numbers were skipped. So I had ports 1-6 mapped to com 8-com 13 and then mapped 7 and 8 to com 15 and 16.

Industrial quality, impeccable performance.

Tried many cheap USB to RS-232 converters, what a waste of money and time trying to get them to work; nothing but misunderstanding and frustration. This works perfectly on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10; Drivers are automatically installed (no hard drive required) and COM ports are constant (never change) between multiple devices; It looks like the driver always remembers the serial number of the device (or can somehow identify the specific unit) and assigns it the same COM port every time that specific
