This product looked good felt good so I installed it on my bike on July 7th. Today July 20th I wanted to start my bike and the relay stayed open and started getting hot and smoking, I had to disconnect the battery and it eventually stopped. This article is garbage! DO NOT BUY!

Installed on my xv1600 and I have had to reset the fuse in the left fuse slot countless times. For an inexperienced driver, a sudden and unexpected total loss of power at highway speeds can be fatal. These cheap Chinese starter relays should not be as numerous as even legal imports as there is a risk of someone breaking down due to their poor quality of craftsmanship.

When first installed the bike started but died immediately. Did it three times. I removed the relay and reinstalled it after searching online. No start this time, not even a click. When I took it out it fell apart. After building and reinstalling it works fine and b8ke works fine. Make sure your device is tight and not loose like mine.

.and I've only ridden the bike twice after my mechanic fitted it. The first problem was a blown fuse. The second problem was that the bike kept trying to start after turning the ignition switch and key to the "off" position. You get what you pay for people. And in this case I bought cheap and got crap. Lesson learned. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you don't enjoy running!

Don't buy this because you think it will solve your problem cheaply…. Save yourself months of headaches and unnecessary expenses when you think it's something else like me! Finally ordered the original and now my bike works! It would start and then die immediately, sometimes I could block it and then it would die. It didn't even turn on my fuel pump before I finally spent the money and bought an original pump for my 2009 Yamaha r6.

I bought this starter relay because it was supposed to work with my 2006 Yamaha R1. Installation was easy enough and allowed my bike to start, but it cut right away.
